lol I am liking the Vista really but I still don't know how to navigate it - it seems it's got the same stuff like XP, only prettier... How to (Possibly) Disable Aero In Safe Mode: Click your "Start" button (the flag orb) Right-click "Computer". I upgrade my graphics card driver via Device Manager->Update Driver Software but the same thing as described above happens. The absolute minimum PSU supply the graphics card required is 350w, whereas my computer only has a stock 305w PSU. Ran sfc/scannow Windows Resource Protection did not find any integrity violations. When I uninstall the driver for the video card, I can boot up normally. That was my scenario. Eventually, we re-enabled his Nvidia graphics card with the 275.33 driver which produced a good resolution (Aero re-enabled by default).

And why now? Booted into usb nice and quick but it looked kinda glitchy so I ran Ubuntu's built in integrity checker. Start with whatever's easier, the motherboard or power supply.Taking it into a repair shop would be the fastest way to get to the bottom of it though as they'll have replacements So sorry for any typos.
