When trying to start Apache, I'm getting the error: Syntax error on line 176 of C:/Program Files/Apache/conf/httpd.conf: Cannot load C:/Program Files/PHP/php5apache2_4.dll into server: Access is denied. Advice for the Future This problem occurred because AVG did not uninstall completely and left remnants behind. Points 4-6 point to some sort of service or driver that is causing the problem. I failed at that with Apache itself (just putting the vc14 runtime dll in the bin folder) but who knows, I should have tried with a different computer. Am currently running MySQL 5.1.65, php-5.3.8-nts-Win32-VC9-x86 along with same php src.
