Return Code Of 141 Is Out Of Bounds Icinga

why 141? I'm not sure exactly what is causing the 141 error. no idea, sorry :? The hint provided by Sven proved that it was indeed the disk= I/O issue that threw everything out of balance, maybe because the plugin t= erminates before it could finish what http://itivityglobal.com/return-code/return-code-of-111-is-out-of-bounds.html

Thanks to all who helped! The only problem, from time to time I get a "Return code of 141 is out of bounds" error in nagios. The reason why the plugin was spewing out t= he "out of bounds" error was because of the underlying performanc= e issue of the server.

Below is the code for the check. #!/usr/bin/perl # # Use: usr/local/sbin/check_cisco_ping_ssh # use strict; use Net::SSH::Perl; $ENV{'HOME'} = '/var/lib/nagios'; my $router=$ARGV[0]; my $port=$ARGV[1]; my Thanks to all who helped!

And common sense. The check runs fine when I run it from command line, and it runs fine in nagios. Hi Luca, I have tried your suggestion but to no avail, I still am getting the 141 return code.

Case closed. illproducer 2011-01-10 21:42:38 UTC #3 luca: are you considering the case the rate is only say 80%?

what does it return? http://itivityglobal.com/return-code/vsam-catalog-return-code-is-8-reason-code-is-igg0cleg-42.html Splunk takes this data and makes sense of it. This way you shouldn't have exit codes different than unknown, which from what i read cause the 141 return code... what happens to your plugin in that case?

Why? illproducer 2011-01-12 20:12:12 UTC #5 luca: had a googling round and i'm thinking about trying a different thing define $return_code=3 at the beginning and only use exit($return_code) redefine $return_code as required

The reason why the plugin was spewing out the "out of bounds" error was because of the underlying performance issue of the server.

It contains a definitive record of application performance, security threats, fraudulent activity, and more. gmail ! what happens to your plugin in that case?
