I did not have to reboot my server after I applied the cumulative update but, of course, I had to reboot after applying the rest of the updates. I tried all steps except step 5 "windows update standalone installer" and it is ok when "windows update" is stopped. I already have this installed. Step 2. The fan stopped and CPU instantly went back to cool runnings!
