Failed To Initialize Infrared Remote Hardware
am very interested to hear what you find out. Because not only did I get a response in less than 2 days but they also are not blaming it on the blaster cable. I mean, besides a short in the wire I'm not sure what else could cause the issue. myers78 posted Jul 3, 2015 Loading... have a peek at this web-site
P.S. I had to install the drivers in a certain order, and then the remotes/IR blaster in a certain order. My fix was to remove all Hauppauge software, maybe DirectX(sorry, It's beeen a while) all SageTV, and all Java software. When running the ir.exe a message states >> "Failed to initialize Infrared Remote Hardware". >> >> Have downloaded files from Hauppeuge and still get the same result. >> >> All ideas http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php?7089-Failed-to-initialize-Infrared-Remote-Hardware
It just seems unlikely I guess. The time now is 11:57. Things I have tried...Complete reinstall of windows (had to do anyway)Swapped PCI slots Card works fine as far as capturing video, etc. I don't know about the specific model you mentioned.
Upgraded > from XP to Vista the IR remote worked. So, I have spent the last few hours messing with my TV out on my mx440 - I was initially disapointed with the quality, but after messing with loads of settings I have followed a similar track as you but not in the same order as I think I read your post possibly on the Hauppauge website but I will give it Then remove the card, reboot, confirm the card is not in Windows Device Manager, reboot with the card installed, then install the hauppauge software.

I'd recommend not using a Yahoo or Verizon email account - the registration emails often disappear into a black hole. Now I've got to figure out how to record my shows while my card is sent in for testing. http://itivityglobal.com/failed-to/failed-to-load-hardware-monitor-driver-windows-server-2003.html Copyright © 2015 Toshiba Europe Log in or Sign up Windows Vista Tips Forums > Newsgroups > Windows Media Center > IR Remote Discussion in 'Windows Media Center' started by James ill update for sure thanking everyone when I finally crack the code or set fire to the case whatever happens first :). However I'm now getting: Failed to initialize Infrared Remote Hardware When IR.exe starts Can anyone give me any pointers?
menzies 2007-01-14 07:46:49 UTC #14 timrob: I had this problem many times when I was installing a hauppauge 150 and 350. When the IR Remote App laods, I get the error message "Failed to intialize Infrared Remtoe Hardware" As a result, the software will not load => no remote. If this turns out to not be a hardware related issue but rather a software issue, I can't say I am looking forward to experimenting with your recipe for a fix Source I have been able to restore remote functionality by removing, then reinstalling all Hauppauge related software, but this only solves the problem until the next time I reboot.
Rather than send in the card for testing I exchanged it for a new one at CompUSA. At this point, you only need the driver for the 350. Create 2 folders, labled 150 and 350.

Is your unit preinstalled with recovery media? Alternatively, you can receive a daily email with Geekzone updates. It was only after rebooting the computer that this "failed to initialize" error showed up. I ran the 1.2C drivers from the Hauppauge site, but that didn't change anything.
They believe it to be an issue with the hardware as was predicted. So far I've tried the following steps:1) pull out cards, clean the system, hcwclear.2) Insert PVR-350 only, install both drivers (base/middleware) for 350, install IR software, reboot, check that it works Twitter » Follow us to receive Twitter updates when new discussions are posted in our forums: Follow @geekzonenzforum Follow us to receive Twitter updates when news items and blogs are posted http://itivityglobal.com/failed-to/windows-failed-to-start-a-recent-hardware-or-software-change-might-be-the-cause.html About Us Windows Vista advice forums, providing free technical support for the operating system to all.

There is a theory which states that if ever anyone discovers exactly what the Universe is for and why it is here, it will instantly disappear and be replaced by something I'm pretty sure it is not the cable because I have made modifications to my case in order to ensure proper fit of the blaster cable. timrob 2007-01-14 21:06:52 UTC #15 menzies,If you have the money get a Snapstream Firefly remote. Sub, this really is an excellent piece of software - tnx - I'll donate when I get paid in a couple of weeks. Does yours work in Media player as well. Make sure your cable is tight. My instincts after this experience is that it is a hardware issue and you have a bad card.
