The system volume will then be shared as SYSVOL. Either restore it from the last backup (if there is any), or use lowlevel tools to repair the database (if possible). also can you please tell which event id in ntfrs logs you are seeing. You might also check the permissions on the sysvol by going to the command prompt on Global and typing.

If the machine is a domain controller, it maybe will turn off the disk cache automatically.
