My output from make: ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- make: Entering directory `/home/rlc/binutils-2.18/obj-avr/libiberty/testsuite' make: Nothing to be done for `all'. These resolved an error that appeared cosmetically similar to what was described. Thus, apt-get install Texinfo will never work. I'm trying to build a cross-compiler on my F8 box but I'm failing at the very first step.

I went into my configure file for the package and changed the egrep line for texinfo to the new egrep line suggested in the post I provided the link for. I have the same problem.
